We are not runners, have never been runners. To us running is what happens when you want to get out of the rain in a hurry. However, a friend of ours inspired us when he invited us to run through the Sonoma countryside when we all go to California in May. We both thought this sounded like a wonderful idea in theory, but as sloth’s we knew we would never be able to keep up or go far.
That was it, we started to train. The first goal was to run a 5K. We started by following the Couch to 5K program, and are so close to being able to run the full 3.13 miles, we can taste it!
As soon as we have the distance down, we will work on our tortoise speeds. As conventional wisdom says: one thing at a time.
