This weekend will be a very whirlwind experience for us, as I am writing this post from our cruising altitude of 31,000 feet on our way to Baltimore. Baltimore however is not our final destination, after we land we have about a 2 hour drive up to Reading, PA. Reading is where we will spend the evening watching one of my good friends (Chenoweth) get married, and we could not be more excited for the happy couple. Tomorrow morning we will head out early morning back to Baltimore to catch a flight back to Atlanta. From takeoff to touchdown we will be out of Atlanta for all of about 31 hours, so there won’t be much time to relax.
Last night we drove up to Jes’ parents house in Lawrenceville because they were gracious enough to once again offer watch our four legged family members. The drive up there was right in the middle of Atlanta rush hour traffic, so it took a good bit more time than usual, but once we got there it was nice to relax and have a meal prepared by Jes’ Mom again.
The other major event for this weekend is the Georgia Tech football team’s attempt to win in Charlottesville, VA for just the 2nd time in the last 21 years. For some reason UVA always has our number at home, regardless of how bad they are. This year their team is especially bad, which will make a loss to them that much more painful. After last weekend’s thorough domination of Syracuse things are looking up, but I’m not counting any wins before they happen for the rest of the year. Kickoff is at 12:30 today so we should just be arriving into Reading in time to catch kickoff, and the game should end just in time to head over to the ceremony. Timing honestly could not have worked out better.
And with that – I just got the notification that we have begun our decent into the Baltimore-Washington International Airport, so I need to wrap this up before we hit 10,000 feet 🙂
